Metsel Marine & Civil has been awarded the contract for the supply and filling of subsea groutbags for the support of the Bellmouth for the HDD drilling of nearshore umbilicals.
The project consists of the supply and installation of three 4m3 Grout Bags for supporting the HDDBellmouth. Metsel Marine & Civil will mobilise our 415 volt Grout Station along with our propriety Rapid SetGrout, designed and manufactured by our partner company Metsel Pty Ltd.
The Grout Station accepts, via crane, 1-tonne bulk bags of the propriety grout into the Silo. From there an automated continuous mixer homogenously mixes the grout and feeds to a holding hopper where it is delivered, via a 601pmpump, down to the ocean floor. Divers on the seabed will ensure grout connections are sealed and the grout bags are inflating as per the scope of work.
Metsel Marine and Civil has also been asked to supply 20kg and 60kg subsea grout bags to assist with Scour Protection on the same project.
